global warming extravaganza....

it's a freakin hot day today. actually, the moment i step on bintulu grounds on thursday, it was really scorching hot. the week before it kept on raining for almost 2 weeks straight... and now the sun is really havin his time.

Well I dont exactly have any thoughts on right now.

Okay, so i've been wanting to write about this for a while. i think one of my friends kinda sparked it into me to write about this. so here goes.

First of all... most of you guys know, im not religious. i have my basics, i pray (yes obviously, still lalai most of the times), i read the quran (usually only in maghrib and during zuhur if i have the mood). in other words im not perfect, and im not so religious.

however... i think Islam is a very beautiful religion, tolerable religion. it only gets thoroughly complicated if you question so much so about so many things. but anyhoo...

I was reminded by the first words of Quran... Al-Alaq, basically there's more than 5 ayats... but the first 5 ayats were said by must sources, that it was the first.

1. Recite, bring recitation into existence, beginning with: In the Name of your Lord Who created, all creatures;

2. created man (al-insān: the generic) from a blood-clot ('alaq is the plural of 'alaqa, which is a small quantity of congealing blood).

3. Recite: (reiterating the first one) and your Lord is the Most Generous, having no counterpart in terms of His generosity (wa-rabbuka'l-akram is a circumstantial qualifier referring to the subject [of the verb] iqra', 'recite'),

4. Who taught, [the art of] script, by the pen - the first to write with it was [the prophet] Enoch (Idrīs), peace be upon him -

5. taught man (al-insān: the generic) what he did not know, before he was taught, in the way of guidance, [the art of] writing, crafts and so on.

Recite, in the name of Allah in everything we do. Read... 'bacalah'. I may not be the best translator, but from what i was taught as i remember, that we must learn how to recite specifically the Quran. but i think, not only the Quran, but also other types of reading materials that could spark your intellectual, that could teach you what can you do to improve your life, and others around you. gain as much knowledge as you can to build your character as an individual.

Hence, I'm just trying to spark a question, something... on reading. Basically, i know a lot of my friends who dont actually read, as matter a fact... i dont read that often. They play video games, and even if they read, it isnt the ones that really actually matter. Why arent we reading? i think, the more you read, and stay away from the interactive medias like tv most of the time, you brain doesnt really age quickly, and it is almost always in work.

People result in Gingko Bilobas, and all sorts of blaaas to enhance their brain and mental capability but does it really actually work? religion itself, everywhere, islam, christian, judaism, anything, regards reading as an important aspect of an individual's daily life as how reading can actually take someone to different levels in life. and in this case, i have a strong belief that reading, sharpens your mental ability, and always keep your mental, spiritual, and even physical always on your toes.

So my dear friends, no matter what religion, no matter what racxe, and people who happen to stumble on my writings, read... read anything and everything you can, as long as you know it can educate not only yourself, but spark yourself to educate others and hopefully they'll do the same to others.

btw... im thinkin of ending this blog... nopes not tired of writing. let me finish... im thinking of ending this blog and create a new one with some snippets of the older ones. basically i think my writings mature a bit so i wanna maintain it that way in one blog. i think la.
